Xin Guobin, vice minister of industry and information technology, pointed out that at present, the development of China's new energy automobile industry is facing a new situation and a new situation. In order to seize opportunities and meet challenges, there is an urgent need to speed up the formulation of the "New Energy vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)" and unremittingly promote industrial development.

[investment 8 billion / capacity 18GWh Honeycomb AI Smart Battery Factory put into production] on November 27, the first phase of the car regulation grade AI intelligent power battery factory built by Honeycomb Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was officially put into production. The factory is located in Changzhou Jintan, with a total investment of 8 billion yuan and an output value of more than 13 billion yuan, with a planned capacity of 18GWh. We have learned that the planned area of the honeycomb energy Changzhou plant is 540000 square meters, and the construction of the project is divided into three phases. The first phase of the project is planned to have a capacity of 4GWhH, and the second phase of the project is planned to have a capacity of 8GWh. it is expected to be put into production by the end of 2020, followed by the construction of the third phase of 6GWh capacity.

Tesla founder Elon Musk said on social media on November 27 that Tesla's first electric pickup truck, Cybertruck, had received 250000 orders since its launch on November 22. Previous data released by Musk showed that most users ordered the dual-motor version and the three-motor version, with less than 20 per cent of users opting for a $39900 single-motor version.

[Los Angeles electric car target: 80 per cent of car sales by 2028] Los Angeles clean technology leaders are reported to have announced their "zero emission roadmap 2028". Under the plan, by 2028, electric vehicles will account for 30 per cent of all light passenger vehicles on the road and at least 80 per cent of all cars sold; 20 per cent of all trips by single vehicles will be converted to zero-emission public transport, bicycles or other active vehicles; and all public investment in ground vehicles and related cargo transport infrastructure will advance zero-emission solutions.

[Dongfeng Peugeot will push three new energy vehicles in the first half of 2020] We learned a few days ago that Dongfeng Peugeot will launch three new energy models in the first half of 2020, including one pure electric model and two plug-in hybrid models, which are the new Peugeot e2008, 508L plug-in hybrid version and 4008 plug-in hybrid version.

[battery supplier at Tesla Shanghai Super Factory is enigmatic: Panasonic denies supply] Panasonic CEO Yichiro Ziga (Kazuhiro Tsuga) reportedly said there were no plans to build a new battery plant for Tesla Shanghai Super Factory in China. At the moment, the company is struggling to profit from its existing battery business with Tesla.

[Suzhou scientists developing new binders may promote the commercialization of lithium-sulfur batteries] it is reported that emerging technologies such as electric vehicles and artificial intelligence are increasingly demanding high-performance energy storage systems, thus promoting the development of high-performance batteries. Lithium-sulfur batteries are very promising, with high specific capacity (1675 mAh g-1) and high energy density (2600 Wh kg-1), or become the next generation battery products. However, in the battery charge-discharge cycle, polysulfide will diffuse in the electrolyte, resulting in changes in the structure of sulfur cathode, which greatly limits the commercial application of lithium-sulfur batteries. Now, scientists at the Institute of Lithium-sulfur Battery Energy and material Innovation at Suzhou University in Jiangsu Province, China, have developed a single lithium-ion channel polymer binder for lithium-sulfur batteries. This new adhesive has a single lithium ion channel, which not only allows the rapid transport of lithium ions, but also prevents polysulfide anions from shuttling through the electrolyte, thus solving the problem of serious energy attenuation of lithium-sulfur batteries.
